Our Demands

Formal political demands addressed to European and German policymakers.

01

Dismantle the Regime's Machinery of Repression

Pending

The survival of the Islamic Republic depends on security bodies such as the Revolutionary Guard and intelligence services, which suppress protests through arrests, violence, and intimidation. Removing this repression apparatus is necessary to allow civil society, political parties, and independent media to function freely — creating conditions for democratic participation without fear.

02

Cut Off the Regime's Financial Lifelines

In Progress

Sanctions targeting financial networks, oil exports, and foreign assets must constrain state resources used for repression and regional military activities. Economic crises have already fueled public discontent and helped spark the 2025–2026 protests. Restricting financial flows can accelerate political change by limiting the state's capacity to sustain coercive power structures.

03

Ensure Free Internet and Communications

Pending

Access to information and communication tools is essential for organizing protests, documenting human rights abuses, and maintaining connections with the global community. Authorities have repeatedly restricted internet access during unrest. Secure internet access allows citizens to share evidence, counter disinformation, and maintain nonviolent mobilization networks.

04

Expel Regime Diplomats and Prosecute Officials Accused of Crimes

Pending

Diplomatic isolation increases pressure on political elites and signals international rejection of human rights violations. Legal action against officials accused of abuses reinforces norms related to crimes against humanity and increases the cost of continued crackdowns on protesters.

05

Immediate Release of Political Prisoners

Pending

Human rights organizations have documented mass arrests of activists, journalists, students, and protesters. The release of political detainees is a necessary step toward rebuilding trust and enabling political dialogue. Prisoner releases signal reduced repression and an opening for broader reforms.

06

Prepare to Recognize a Transitional Democratic Government

Pending

International readiness to recognize a transitional authority could help avoid instability or power vacuums if political change occurs. Clarity about international recognition may encourage defections from within the system and reassure citizens that political change can lead to stability rather than chaos.
